Southwest Suburban Social Security Disability Lawyer John E. Social Security found that listing 13.24A was met since March 16, 2012, by claimant’s prostate according to the testimony of the medical expert at the hearing. Cancer of the prostate was found by needle biopsy March 16, 2012.  There was trouble with the treatment and the medications used in the treatment in that they caused serious symptoms that precluded gainful employment.  The record documents progressive or recurrent prostate cancer despite initial hormonal intervention.  (A previous medical expert who had not completely reviewed the record found claimant capable of light work, but this opinion was rejected because the reviewer had not reviewed all the evidence.)  The treating oncologist was of the opinion that claimant had met the listing since May 28, 2013.
